L-3 Awarded $357 Million Task Order for U.S. Army Reserve IT Technical Support Services Under GSA Alliant

NEW YORK, July 24, 2013 – L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its National Security Solutions (NSS) Group was awarded a $357 million task order under the GSA Alliant contract vehicle by the GSA Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM). L-3 will provide software development, systems integration, distance learning and IT technical support services in support of the Reserve Component Automation program.

RCA is a mission-critical program to modernize and sustain an automated information system that enhances the Army Reserve and National Guard’s ability to accomplish unit mobilization planning and readiness and support day-to-day administration. The program is part of the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS).

Work on the contract is underway in L-3’s Reston, Va. facility and is expected to continue through 2018.
